And we can't forget those who say it's not even happening at all. According to Pew Research,
"46% of Americans say human activity is the primary reason why the Earth is warming. By contrast, 26% say warming is mostly caused by natural patterns in the environment and another 14% do not believe there’s evidence the Earth is warming at all."
That puts the denier total at 40%.
And then, admittedly by my own estimates, of those 46% who believe in anthropogenic climate change, roughly half seem convinced we can neither stop nor mitigate it, despite all efforts. That leaves scant few who think A.) there's a problem and B.) we can do anything about it.
