Hi Tom. Thanks so much for readng and commenting. I think people know what to do. They can drive electric cars, eat less meat and dairy, elect politicians that will keep regulatory bodies like the EPA strong; they will consume less and practice more self-reliance.

More radically, they will push for a completely new system, a resource-based economy that's human and environment centric. They will embrace de-growth and sustenance living.

Or, they will do none of this, because they are scared and in denial. They have motivated reasoning to ignore or obfuscate the issue.

In the meantime, my article here points out how being trained as consumers of entertainment, and the modern infotainment complex plays its role, often neutering even the best intentioned of us, and of course spreading the doubt and misinformation to those of us motivated to keep the status quo; i.e. a hydrocarbon society with the paradigm of limitless growth.

Clearly, I've just had my coffee this morning and am feeling chatty! XD

Thanks again for reading and replying.

Cheers

TJ
