I don’t see Amazon as the problem. I see market over-saturation as the problem.

I have had 25 books published by smaller independent publishers, some of whom use Amazon exclusively, and I make a good living.

If you want to make money writing, write a lot, write well, write commercially, submit to publishers. The self-publishing gold rush is over.
