Have you heard of Brandolini’s Law?

It states that the amount of energy required to refute bullshit found on the internet is an order of magnitude greater than it takes to produce it.

It’s why I’m not going devote this article to disproving Tucker Carlson’s claims about climate change. Suffice it to say, he’s completely full of shit: Climate change is not something China dreamed up to weaken the US as a world power. Nor is the UN the “mouthpiece” for China, advising the US to slash emissions and decarbonize as part of a plot for world domination.

Rather than challenge these erroneous ideas and play Tucker’s game, I’m more concerned with how we move forward despite his existence, and the existence of Fox News, because the numbers are not good. Too many people listen to Tucker — he has the number one primetime cable news show in the country.

I’m also interested in exploring why Tucker Carlson does what he does. We know he lies — that he tells his viewers one thing, such as the 2020 election was stolen — when he knows it’s not true, as evidenced by internal emails between Carlson and other Fox employees, revealed during the course of the Dominion lawsuit against Fox.
