Personally, though, I think these spaces are begging to be used for renewables, or at least for growing food. A "green roof." Anything useful and to help mitigate climate change.

Socializing is important, but we're just at the beginning of multiple cascading calamities wrought by ecological overshoot. We need affordable alternative energy and climate and weather independent food systems, and we need them now. These carpark rooftops could be part of the effort.
